Applying for Nursing

Hello everyone! I am applying for nursing this year to USC Upstate. My GPA is only 3.1. I still have two more classes then I will be done with my pre-req's for nursing. I am very nervous. Has anyone been accepted into Nursing at any school with a 3.1 GPA? Thanks!

It is possible. How does your GPA and academic profile look against the requirements of this specific program? Do you have an academic advisor that might be able to lead you to the most correct answer for you.

Best wishes.

I do. I spoke to an advisor at the university and she told me that if I make A's on my last two class then I will have a 3.2 GPA. It will make me competitive. But she says there are a lot of people who applied every semester. That's why I was worried. Thank you!

It will all depend on the quality of your cohort - all the others who are applying at the same time. It's a crapshoot. You may be lucky or you may end up with a bunch of braniac high-achievers. Best of luck to you.

Thanks! I did ask my advisor again about my GPA. She told me I can use trig for one of my elective. Since u made an A in trig it bump my GPA to 3.2. I am a little more competitive now. Lol
