Applying to CCBC's Spring 2013 RN Program

After much agonizing and studying, I finally took the Teas V. I scored 82% overall, which is considered "Advanced." I am currently taking classes at CCBC and in regards to my Nursing prerequisites, I have about a 3.2 GPA. I have applied to CCBC's Spring 2013 RN Day Program and really, really hope I get in. Any words of wisdom? Are any of you in CCBC's RN Program? What GPA/Teas score did you have when you were applying? Anyone applying for the Spring 2013 RN program???

Thanx so much! This website has helped with so many questions and concerns! :cat:

Are you applying right now for Spring 2014? I am applying for Essex Day program for Spring 14.. I submitted my application today but I am concerned because when I check it, it says "Application Status: Incomplete items outstanding" I have taken all my prereqs except for Math which I am currently enrolled in. I took the TEAS in June and just checked the ATI website and my results were sent to CCBC.

@sparky605 Yea, I applied for Spring 2014, but to Catonsville. You can call the admissions office and ask about your application. I've already called them at least two times just making sure I submitted everything necessary lol. I'm prob driving them nuts, but better to check sooner than later. I'd call them tomorrow first thing!

the status has changed to "application complete, ready for review" so Ifeel much better. You look familiar in your picture, did you take A&P1 with Gorski?

@sparky605 yes i did take gorski for a&p1 i'm in the process of taking a&p2 now and i'm really hoping to get into spring 2014 it's so nerve wracking!

So exciting. I am currently in my first semester at the catonsville day program, its been a long journey to this point but it feels good to finally be here. Congrats on applying, when I submitted my app I nearly drove myself crazy waiting for a notice for two months and it felt so good to finally get that acceptance. The program has been great so far with great instructors and we have learned so much already and its just semester one. I applied with a 3.7gpa in the pre reqs and proficient on the teas. Good luck!

i also wish i could edit this post! i meant to type spring 2014 *not* 2013

cheripk- great to hear that things are going well. Rubyagnes- I took APII over the summer and now I am taking my last required prereq- math. Do you know if it puts us at a disadvantage that our final prereqs are in progress. One counselor told me that they may request midterm grades from professors from anything in progress.

@sparky605 gwen degner, the nursing advisor at catonsville, has told me that applicants are allowed to have only one final prereq in progress when applying. i'd imagine those who have finished all prereqs would have an advantage against us, but i do know it's allowed. i'm not really sure how they view it, but i hope it's ok!

Hello all! I have also applied for the program for this upcoming spring at Catonsville. Good luck to everyone! :)
