Eep! Here we go! I've officially submitted applications to Regis, Simmons and MCPHS! Well, except for recommendations, which I'm chasing up. I am CROSSING my fingers and toes... currently finishing up prereqs (at MassBay) while working full time in DD services and volunteering at MGH. Has anyone else applied to any of those schools? Anyone heard anything?
Do you ever feel like you want this so much you might burst?! Haha!
GOOD LUCK to everyone who's applying for - well, any kind of program!!!

Wow we have similar experiences! I left my full time DD managment position to take prereqs at MassBay and work part time at MGH. I've only applied to Curry College so far, but can't wait to hear back
Good luck!
Oh, that's awesome! I love meeting people with similar experiences! What setting in DD Services were you in -- residential/day? I'm in day, and I am in love with this population. They're so special.
I volunteer at MGH! in the ED! I also did the book cart for over a year, usually the Blake & Ellison floors 12-6 route! :heartbeat
Great to meet you! GOOD LUCK with Curry!! I hope you hear good news soon!
I worked in residential with individuals with Downs and Alzheimer's. It's what got me interested in nursing.
I'm only at MGH one day a week, but we might run into each other at MassBay! I'm ready to be done with prereqs, but if I don't get in to Curry I'll be taking more so I can apply to other schools.
Hehe, I wonder if you're in my A&P class...!!
Does Curry ask for less prereqs..?
I've been looking at Regis online today, but I'd probably have to delay starting the actual nursing program by a year (which I reeeaally don't want to do) to do extra prereqs. Guh!
I've worked residential and love it, and we have a couple of guys here with Down's... I adore them.
Nope, I took AP last summer. I'm only taking statistics now.
Curry requires: AP 1 and 2, Chem 1, Micro, Statistic, and Human Growth and Development. They don't have a time limit on the courses and don't require reccomendations.
I was only able to apply there because other schools won't accept my old prereqs or want more chemistry courses.

Hello all! Just a quick question.
What school year are you applying for. Is it Spring or Fall 2012? or is it 2013??
Thx!

Yeah, definitely my first choice... aahhhh, want it so much!!!!
I'm applying for Spring 2012. If I don't get in, I'll be applying to other schools that start Summer or Fall 2012.

Thanks :)
