hi. i just signed up here. i am a filipino nurse, i graduated in 2009 and i have 1 year hospital experience. i've attended several orientations sponsored by consultancy agencies here in our province. after all their sugar-coated explanations and instructions, i nearly signed their contract. but i told myself to sleep it over first and search the net about this process, thinking that maybe i could do it on my own, (without the help of an agency, to cut the cost). after going through my research, i made myself and my colleague believe that we could actually make it happen, ON OUR OWN. i have contacted this college in montreal thru phonecall and they have been a great help in giving me instructions to process my application in quebec. according to the oiiq, their next program for students would be jan2012 and their cut-off date for the application papers would be on the 15th of november, i really want to make it before jan2012. i just don't know how to acquire the application kit from the oiiq, their website's difficult to understand since the medium is french. i would really appreciate it if someone would help me go about this process. i would be very happy if we could exchange emails, to speed-up the process. thank you very much in advance. :)

If you are going to move to Quebec you would need to be fluent in french, either to work or to attend school.
yes, i've heard about that. i'm planning to study basic french to understand their means of communication. the agency that i have attended to told us that the easiest way to move to quebec is by a student visa (that means i have to serve my time attending classes for 5 months) but i don't know how to start this process. how could i get hold of the application papers from the BON in quebec? thank you. :)

Quebec as far as I am aware will send it once you email them requesting a application pack.
Basic French I believe will not be enough. To work in Quebec you will have to take the language exam within a certain period of time (3 years I think but not 100% sure) and you will need to be fluent in both oral as well as listening and reading

hope i could be able to learn french in a short period of time. anyway, how much will the application papers cost and how long will i wait to receive the papers? thank you.
I have no idea how much it costs to register with Quebec or time it takes to receive the papers however a lot will depend on where it is being mailed to
