Applicants to forsyth techs 2011 adn program

Hello! I'm also applying for the spring program but I only have 140 points (I think). I'm freaking out!!! I'm confused about the computer classes and their points. I got an A in CIS 110 and it was a 3 credit class but on the point calculation sheet it says 2/1... so I'm not sure if I would have 4, 8, or 12 points from that. I got an 86.5 on my TEAS test with a 98 in reading and the TEAS coordinator told me that is a score they look at when it is a tiebreaker. Looking at the point ranges for admittance in the past, it doesn't really help me feel better! I think the worst part is the waiting!

Scrubs,

I hope you get in....I had the same situation with the computer class. Mrs. Suggs from admissions told me that everyone gets 2 point even if the class was three. Its one point if you take the once credit course offered at FTCC.

Hello! I'm also applying for Spring 2011 and I feel like it has become my obsession! I have 158.8 but my TEAS score was pretty low, I think around 80. I just can't wait to hopefully get the letter telling me I'm in so I can breathe a brief sigh of relief. Good luck to everyone!! I'm sure we'll find out very soon!!

I have also applied to the program and passed the teas however: I am taking it again on Friday to get a higher score my understanding was that you had to have an average of 174 points and I am a little below it. They are looking for teas teast scores by my understanding in the 80 percentile group. Am I wrong here and don't understand? Good luck to you.

Hello Everyone!
I am a current applicant for the Spring 2011 ADN program, at Forsyth Tech! I have 155 points and I am scared out of my mind if I am going to get in the program or not. Nursing has always been my dream :redbeathe! I am curious to know who else out there applied? What did you get on your TEAS? How many points do you have? What has been the best/worst part of this application experience! The deadline is Oct 1, we only have a week....so lets post what we know so far!
P.S.
Once we get our acceptance letters (Claiming my spot in the program) lets post so we can meet and greet via, All Nurses!!!

Hey everyone!

I have 165 points, I hope that is enough! I excited/scared. Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to get the acceptance letters out?

Hi everyone! I have also applied for the Spring 2011 ADN program. I applied for Fall 2010 and received an alternate list letter. I never got called off of the alternate list. At that time I only had 143 points. I now have 150 but I still don't know if that will be enough. The letter that I received last fall stated that the people accepted had between 147-179 points. I would definitely say that you will need at least that to get in. The numbers seem to go up every semester. I hope what I have is enough because I'm so tired of waiting. I received my letter in the mail today. I believe that I had 149.9 points. (All of my classes were taken elsewhere, so I don't know what was accepted it may have been higher). I am so excited! I called to confirm, but the voicemail message said that she would not be back till after the confirmation deadline. I will probably send an email just in case. Best of luck to everyone else. Congrats ADN! I know a few other people who got their letters yesterday, which leaves me feeling a little discouraged because I didn't get one. I feel like a crazy woman scrambling to the mailbox 30 seconds after it passes every day! Maybe today is the day. :uhoh3:
