hi

you dont apply to a particular state for nclex. nclex is just the nursing exam that you need to pass in order to become a licensed rn in the us. you apply to a state bon for nursing license not for nclex. the ncsbn developed the nclex and they contract out to pearson vue who administer the exam. you need to apply for att which is a permission to test and shows that you are eligible for entry to the nclex exam, sit the exam, then apply to a bon for licensing.

good luck :monkeydance:

remember that there are always examptions to everything but rule of thumb would be to pick where you want to work and live then take it from there.

having relatives living in a certain state is a plus.

each state bon will have its own set of requirements and will have diff. timelines for the processing of your application and giving you eligibility to sit for the nclex exam.

i recommend reading the stickies above and there are lots of threads here about the diff. state bons where most people apply to.

goodluck. :wink2:
