I am currently trying to enroll into my area's BOCES LPN program. I already have an associates degree in Medical Assisting but I honestly don't like it. I want to be a nurse! I have waited my whole life to be a nurse and I finally have the opprotunity! My husband will be at work and my mom is going to watch my daughter so everything is all set! I have taken my TABE test and passed and completed my financial aid app. As of right now they are waiting until June to go on to the next steps. I did my test and things early! lol They take people on a first come first serve basis. I am so nervous that I am not going to get in! I keep hearing that it is such a hard program but I feel like I have a tiny medical background and hopefully that helps! But I would be SOOO upset if I didn't get into the LPN program! Any advice?!?!?!? I can't take the wait!!! I am just way to excited!!!

Just that it helps to keep busy. Maybe deep clean your house, make/freeze some meals and make a nursing school recipe book slash menu plan complete with shopping lists tucked in. Maybe get a head start on your next classes.

I totally know how you feel! I will most likely be waitlisted for the program I've applied for and I keep wondering how am I going to make it this next year because I am just too excited too! There isn othing wrong with being excited...maybe you can get a head start on your classes by getting some study books, flash cards, making sure you have a firm foundation in A and P, etc. That way, you are still involved even though you can't technically start your classes yet.
Hang in there girl, you will be on your way and in the program in no time! :)
