Any Texas prison nurses here?

I need to know..have an offer to go back to work in Texas prisons...and the other is an ER offer at a hospital in Texas which offers big sign on bonus and relocation...I am torn between going back to the wonderful world of corrections in Texas or the money bag in free world ER....and need to make a decision this week.

The short answer is: corrections. If it's what you like, do it. There's so few of us who would even consider it, let alone like it and be good at it.

UTMB pays well, but I don't know about any other employers in corrections.

I vote corrections too. Nothing like it. Good luck on your choice.

I say corrections - nothing beats it!

I always wanted to do corrections and did for a while as a student at the Tarrant County Jail. I loved it ...Benefits are more than likely good at the prison (state benefits right) . I would be excited to work at either ....
