I work for an HMA facility in Yakima, WA. It is one of only two for profit hospitals in all of WA. Before less than two years ago, all of the hospitals in WA were not-for-profit.

I work for Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, West Virginia..

I have been with this company for 15 years..

HMA bought our hospital in TN last year. We hate them!!!!

Specializes in the good and bad kind.

]They are the only game in town here in Poedunk, Nowhere. Unless one wants to drive almost an hour, there are no other options for registered nurses. Most of the employees are good people, but management bites the big one!

I believe the company is in BIG TROUBLE, as top management have been selling their shares over the past few months. They have totally overextended by buying many new "failing" hospitals in the last year and have traditionally had problems recruiting and keeping doctors. Those that stay, are in the area for the lifestyle, not for the quality of practice.

It's an okay place to get that first year or so under your nursing belt. After that run, don't walk to another job.
