I am starting school for Practical Nursing in February. I allowed my CNA certification to lapse, while working in the medical office. However, I am challenging the recertification exam next week. I was certified in 1989, when the exam cost only $5 and it was a written exam. This is my first time having to take the clinical skills portion. Any advice?

Why do you need a current CNA? Is it a pre-requisite for your course?

No, I am challenging the test to allow me to work while in school.

I don't know anything about a CNA exam - what kind of clinical skills are you tested on?

Good luck! :)
