Another symptom question

Hi all....

I have some symptoms and I'm not really sure what to make of them. I don't want to overreact, but I don't want to underreact either.

I went to work tonight at 7pm as usual, slept well today I thought. Shortly after I got to work, I started feeling lightheaded, a little dizzy and weak. Not really bad, just WRONG somehow. And any movement, like sitting to standing or standing to walking, exacerbated the dizziness. It felt like the inside of my head was moving up and down, get full, and my ears would ring a little. I checked my BP because I thought it would be low. It was 126/100. My diastolic usually runs high, but usually that high only when I have a migraine. Which I didn't think was the issue because I had no headache. I am on propanolol and have been regular with that.

As the night progressed, I actually felt worse instead of better, even though subsequent BP checks showed my diastolic to be in the 90s and then high 80s. I kept expecting to feel better, but I didn't. The exacerbations got worse and I could actually feel the ground moving under me. I was lightheaded all the time, and felt I was walking in water. I guess; it's very subjective and difficult for me to explain, sorry.

Coverage was found for me at 11 pm and I came home. I ate, actually thinking that my blood sugar might be low. Sometimes it is, and eating can fix my symptoms immediately. Unfortunately, nothing has changed and I'm still the same. The exacerbations are fewer because I am home not doing much at all because I just feel cruddy. Again, I know I am being vague, but I don't really have any specific symptoms other than the dizziness and weakness. I am a little unsteady on my feet and feel my reactions are just slightly delayed. Not enough to really notice, but when I was driving I could tell. Also, it's taking me a long time to type this as my fingers don't seem to be working right and are very cold. Which could be why they are a little "garbled." As I sit here, my head feels "full" and vaguely achy.

I know this is not much to go on, but I just don't feel right, even though my BP is pretty normal now for me. Which leads me to wonder if it's my pressure at all.

And just for reference, I have hypertension 2* to PCOS and migraines. I take glucophage for the PCO; propanolol and amytriptyline for the migraines. I am UTD on all my meds.

I just can't remember ever having felt like this before.

Thanks in advance!

You need to get yourself to an emergency room. Your fingers aren't working right and you are having problems with your speech? You can have a TIA or even a small stroke going on...............

...and don't drive yourself, please! Sounds like an EKG is in order here. Also, did you take your temp?

Please also let us know how you're doing afterward.

I agree go to the ER and have a full check up blood work, EKG, etc. I had several sx. like that when I had the flu but with your other problems and the cold fingers and fingers and speech not right Please go get checked out. Let us know how you are doing and what you found out. BE CAREFUL
