Another step closer!

Well, as many of you know, I've applied to UT-Houston and UTMB for my BSN. Alot of us made it to UT's second "essay" phase and are now waiting for a final answer.

Today, I got a letter from UTMB stating that I have made it to their next phase too! I'm happy, but April 15th can't get here soon enough!

That's awesome! What does the 2nd phase at UTMB consist of? An interview? Another writing sample?

hmmm...I got a letter a little while back that said they were in the process of reviewing all of the applications and that they would let me know. But nothing specifically about being in "phase 2"

Doesn't look good for me. HA! thank gawd for backups eh?

Oh- and Vegetarian goddes- UTMB doesn't do interviews anymore. They did away with that a few years ago. I wish they still did them though. Some people are better in person then on paper. I like to think I am one of those people. :)

i just found out utmb accepted me!

i received a letter stating "your application to the school of nursing has been received & is currently under review..." (probably the same letter you received packerbacker) , and the oh-so- fantastic large manila envelope (which included a letter of acceptance & lots of other paperwork) on the same day.

i'm driving down to galveston to tour the campus tomorrow (thursday). i'm so excited!!!

THAT IS SOOOO GREAT!!! Congrats!!!

Don't be toooo turned off by all the construction down here, Its a mess.

Also a relief to me...I hope my manila envolope is on its way! :)

i'm driving down to galveston to tour the campus tomorrow (thursday). i'm so excited!!!

Hope I did not confuse anyone. If I did- I'm sorry. The reason I mentioned being in the "next phase" (not "second phase") is because a UTMB alumni told me that UTMB has probably gone through the applications and sent out declination letters to those applicants who absolutely do NOT qualify; however, the rest of the applicants would have been mailed the "still under review" letter. If that's the case, I've made it into the next round of review (since I have not gotten a declination letter). Understand?
