ANA is worthless

Had a complaint on my license (by a nasty co-worker) and ANA is no where for nurses these days. Bill Moyers has it right girls and guys. Please read the link and contribute to the discussion, I am a virgin to the posting thing. I found this intriguing.

I believe this article to be true as well. At our hospital, a the VP of nursing was asked to resign after she stood up to the president of our Hospital over safe staffing issues. Now as far as the ANA, well, the ANA was not mentioned however the ANA does fight for safe staffing as well so... I guess I can come to my own conclusions there.

I also agree. Our hospital has almost a 100% turnaround in nursing supervision in the last 3 years. I have had 3 supervisors in the last 2 years. Anyone that does not go with the status quo is fired.

Yeah, they just run through managment people till they find one they can bend to their will. Same goes with staff nurses. They will run through a bunch of staff nurses, many leaving shortly after they start, until they find the ones that will go with the program.
