Amniocentesis

Hi there..

I was curious about how much fluid is drawn during an amniocentesis. In my class notes I have 1cc, yet in my book, it is 20cc.

20-30ccs is more like it.

here is an interactive tutorial designed for patients on amniocentesis. it states 2 tablespoons (which is about 30cc) of amniotic fluid is withdrawn.
