I AM.
I'm so exhausted after semester after semester of prereqs. I can't wait until this semester is OVER and I'll be done killing myself to do well in these classes so I can get into nursing school (even though 2 schools I'm applying to are on a lottery and another is a waitlist... so GPA isn't as big of a deal as it is for the BSN programs - though I'm applying to those too). I know there is only two more months left of this semseter so I'm almost done (then I'll be finished with all my prereqs), but it is just getting more and more STRESSFULL!! Especially with the whole process of applying to nursing school I just can't help but feel so overwhelmed. I even have great backups, one that I know I'll definately get into (even though I might be on the waitlist for 2 years) and I have a great plan if I do have to wait, but I'm still FREAKING out and can't help stressing. I tell myself it will all be okay and everything will work out and I just need to take a deep breath, but it just seems like it's getting harder and harder to focus on these classes with the excitement of being finished.
It's not the courseload that is overwhelming, for me it's the PRESSURE of getting in. Once I get in I'll be happy as a clam (what a strange expression). I try to distract myself from all of these stresses and negative thoughts with doing yoga and taking dance and teaching dance and doing theatre and all of the things I love, but it's a short lived distraction, and once I get home it's back to the freak out.
Is anyone else feeling this way? Anyone else feel like the stress of prereqs is a giant elephant sitting on your stomach and all you can do is wait for two months until the elephant finally gets up and that feeling is relieved?
