Against Privilege to Practice

I need help, please. I was a travel nurse who is working in Missouri (compact state) as a guest RN from Tennessee (home state). To make the story short, I got in trouble back in 2018 with Missouri and my NPDB code was ‘Practicing beyond scope of practice.’ TN gave me probation for no less than 12 months. My travel nursing company ended my contract and now I don’t have a job as I only have single state license from TN.

I can’t move back to TN. While this was going on, I got divorce the same. I share a 7yr old daughter with my ex and we’re both stuck here in Missouri and I am now officially a Missouri resident.

I hired a lawyer in Jefferson City. With no luck, my lawyer is also waiting for Missouri BON to contact him. I have an “Against Privilege to Practice” in the state of Missouri. As I mentioned earlier, TN is active and on probation for less than a year, no restrictions, no rehab courses. It is not patient related or drug related. I am not moving to TN for work because of my daughter’s joint custody in MO.

My question is: With Missouri BON have the Against Privilege to Practice status on my license in Nursys, is it possible to apply for a nursing license in Missouri so I can find nursing work here?

That is a good question for your attorney and MO BON.
