A couple months ago I started working at a school, LOVING IT! I recently found out the school doesn't have an AED in the GYM. I have talked with the admin team and they agreed with me about getting an AED for the GYM. Is there a certain AED brand you would recommend?

I own a Philips Heartstart. Have had it for a decade and never needed it, but very reliable in terms of batteries and pads. What grades do you cover? I would go with their FRx, I think it is that model, if you need child coverage. Just need a key for child AED use.

Contact your local EMS! I go through them, they have a program with our state that allows us to get AEDs and all the stuff that goes with it for a discount. See if you can get grants from your community to help pay for it.
We have Defitech Lifeline defibrillators at all the schools in our district.
I work for a non-profit school, 230 students K - 12. Thank you for your recommendation.
Ohiobobcat thank you! I will look into that.

Even if your local EMS can't offer you a discount and/or grants, finding out what defib units they use is helpful. It saves time and makes a smoother transition if the pads are compatible and all it takes is switching connectors.
