Advice

I am considering changing jobs. I currently work in an outpatient setting that is very fast paced and stressful at times. Most of the stress is due to the culture of the facility not due to the work. Because of this I have neen suffering from a lot of anxiety and depression, so I believe a change of environment might be what I need.

I considering home health, dialysis center, or case management. I would like to hear from those of you working in those fields the pros and cons. I am open to other suggestions as well. I've even considered quitting nursing altogether. Thanks to all who respond.

I'd go with the home health if you can. Yes lots of paperwork but it'd be less stressful as it would typically be one patient per visit. I do not recommend dialysis. It can be very stressful and demanding on your body. At least it was when I gave it a go. Good luck!

Keep in mind that all positions will be stressful. I work in case management and it is very production based and you will have to pay attention to deadlines. However, some perks are not working weekends, normal business hours, potential to work from home depending on the organization. Good luck!
