Hello all and Merry Christmas to all, I am a brand new, wet behind the ears member. I know absolutely nothing. I have a question that I really didn't want to create a new topic line for. I am a student called "College America". I am taking the medical option I was given at the start. I know, that is a bit vague. Nonetheless, I am suppose to receive an AS or AA degree at the end of two years. To my understanding I will be qualified for nothing at that time but willl have a degree. I am given 3 opportunities, I am told, for pursuing a particular field, 3 exams the school will pay for upon my initial payment of said test and passage of that test, failing test in my loss on all monies paid. I just completed my Pharmasy, 2 month, course. I have an option at this point to take the pharmacy tech exam. Upon looking at the exam it is obvious that I have not been prepared for it and would have to do additional study on my own time for said test. I was told by the Dean of the school that becoming an LPN is an option I can pursue as well. I'm reluctant to believe this school will prepare me for a career as an LPN. I just recieved a reply from a new teacher who worked in a hospital for a number of years who informed me that prior to taking the exam to become an LPN there are two other tests that I have to take which are very difficult. I am strongly considering a transfer, though not certain of my options at this time, which is how I ran across this site; in search of information. Is there anyone who can tell me one way or the other what I am looking at to become an LPN? I'm in Phx, Az if that is of any consolation. Thank you so much.

I'd really clarify what exactly your school is offering as I haven't heard anything like that before.
Good luck!
