My name is Rachel and I have a B.S. degree in psychology. I have spent all my time trying to pursue a career in social work. Recently I came to the conclusion that being a social worker would not be a good fit for me. I developed an interest in nursing and will be taking all my pre req courses this year and will apply to an accelerated nursing program for fall 2016. I am assuming that since there are very few accelerated nursing programs that they are very competitive. I have a lot of experience working in treatment facilities with children and adults. I also have been a care taker and I am cpr certified. I just really wanted some advice on what else I could do to make myself stand out. I was thinking about getting a phlebotomy certificate so I could get experience working in hospitals and clinics. Is this a good idea? and if not does anyone have any suggestions?
