I applied to the Spring 2008 Semester for Nursing School. All of my Pre-Req's are done except Math that did not transfer and anatomy, I am transferring WITH A 3.2/30 credits.
Anyways, I was just wondering if it would be an advantage to get CPR certified, or maybe even EMT certified before my interview?

I don't think either offers any particular advantage for an interview. In my interview, there was never a place where the certifications could be mentioned.
Working as an EMT might be a bonus but simply having the certification probably doesn't buy you anything.
CPR's worth doing. It's something everybody should know and most or all programs around here require it, anyway.

It all depends on what the school bases acceptance on. If they look at health care experience, go for it! If you do obtain your EMT use it. A certification without use really isn’t worth anything.
I’m curious though, why EMT instead of CNA? CNA may give your more of a boost since you’ll be learning how to work with a nursing team.
