Options for RNFA's with advanced degrees.
What advanced degree is most beneficial to have alongside being an RNFA? What are the options?

Well theres a whole lot of advanced degrees that arent for clinical (education leadership admin informatics etc) which I dont see contributing very much at all for PURELY being an RNFA. And a CRNA is in the OR, but also has nothing to do with an RNFA.
I think it really comes down to 2 choices.
One is being an NP. But unfortunately I dont think NP specialties usually deal a lot with being in the OR. However an NP is an incredibly attractive job in high demand. I will say that the only RNFA ive seen at my hospital (I havent been in the OR very long) is actually an NP though (theyre not employed by the hospital. They work for one of the surgeons)
On the other hand there are CNS-CP which are CNS (clinical nurse specialist) with a specialty in preoperative nursing. Of course ive never actually seen or met one in the OR (again havent been in the OR long) but from what ive read about CNS in general is that its not a prospering degree at this time.
Definitely worth looking into both further. Ive been trying to read up on all this same stuff lately as well
The 3rd alternative would be being a PA, although then you wouldnt actually be an RNFA. And the requirements/schooling is different
