ADN-FNP Help!

Wanting to become a FNP but I need help deciding which educational route to take......

1. ADN-BSN and then BSN-FNP

2. ADN-MSN and then MSN-FNP

3. ADN-FNP

Does anyone have experience with any of these?

Are you in the US? MSN is the degree, FNP is the specialized area of study and the certification. You don't have to get your MSN then FNP, unless you specialize in education, acute care etc first. In my area most of the MSN programs require a BSN, a few will offer a bridge from ASN/RN to MSN-FNP, however you get your BSN in the process. If you are just starting nursing school and know you would eventually like to get your MSN/DNP then get your BSN.

There are some MSN programs that will allow you to enter if you have a BA/BS in something else. CNL programs come to mind (whether direct entry or not) but there must be others.

UCF also offers a NP program that doesn't require a BSN.
