Adelphi Fall 2016

I am applying for the Fall 2016 nursing program as well. Adelphi is the only school that you need genetics, informatics, and pathophysiology. Do you definitely need the pathophysiology before starting the program or can you take it concurrently? Any advice is helpful, thank you.

I was told that you need to complete all prerequisite classes before starting upper level nursing classes. In other words, yes, pathophysiology needs to be completed before starting the program. Hope this helps.

Did they ever mention having pre-reqs (ie. pathophysiology) at the NY location?

Hi guys!! I was accepted and will be taking some pre reqs this Fall 2016. I'm taking Patho,genetics,informatics,and nutrition along with 2 gen eds. Plus I'm doing the Chem this summer UGHHHH so annoying but anyways I'm a little nervous about the professors there really isn't anything posted on rate my professor. Also does anyone know how large the class enrollment is?

I'm not taking Patho, but I'm taking Nursing Informatics Thursday from 1:50-3:30pm. Luckily I was also able to register for genetics before all the spots filled up. I'm taking it Monday at 8:10-9:50am. How about you?

Hi all! I was in Adelphi's nursing program in fall of 2014 (did some prereqs then), but withdrew just after that semester. I am trying to be readmitted for this fall - waiting for the Dean of admissions to look over my file. If I am, I will be taking my last prereq - informatics, and then will start clinical in the spring! Hopefully we will all be classmates then!!

Received the call today. I've been readmitted! I just have to take informatics and then I'll be starting clinical in spring with you all! Yay!
