Adelphi BSN program questions!

I applied as well but with a 2.7 gpa. What I am wondering is whether they calculate the classes that they transfer over or is the gpa based on what it was in your previous school..

Do you know if you got excepted yet?? How did you do on the TEAS exam? I'm not sure how they calculate the classes. I am finishing my associates this summer and I think they will just look at my overall GPA. I am going to sit with an advisor later this month, hopefully they ease my mind! Lol.

I met the TEAS criteria for both of the schools I applied to. Right now I am just worried about my gpa since they want the transcripts sooner rather than later and I have yet to turn in the work to get a F removed. Maybe I will meet with an advisor and see where I stand.

hi jlb1215, we share a similar story. im taking microbio this july to complete my associates degree in lib arts. i will be taking the teas exam for the second time june 9th for admission to adelphi. i failed the reading part only by 2%....i ran out of time and guess the last 10. i underestimated the pace required for the reading and spent the entire night before reviewing math and random science facts. we've got over a week to pull this off and i think we can do it easily. i called the nursing department (3 separate times just to see if i would get the same information each attempt---and i did) and they assured me that when you take the exam again they add the grade you get the second time with the grade of the portion(s) you failed the first time. but they will not penilize you if you fail a portion that you passed the first time, the second time you take it. (i hope that i came out as clear as i intended) so as long as you have all your pre-reqs completed and practice your pace with reading questions you should be fine for the fall enrollment. good luck! and if you want to study together this week or next feel free to contact me!

Thanks so much for the info! I am taking the TEAS Saturday also! Hoping I do well this time around. I mean I think I will definitely pass but will they be looking at the scores you think?? I have a great GPA so hoping that helps me!!

How long do they take to review your application once submitted?

Hey everyone, so I just handed in my transcripts to adelphi and now I will be waiting to see if I get in! Fingers crossed!! has anyone else applyed and been accepted?? Hellooo_Nurse, have you applied? how did you do on the teas??
