I will be taking the ACLS class in a couple days and my employer gave me a whole lot of papers, charts and one thick book to read. There are so many rhythms that I have never heard of, let alone seen in my life. Can anyone tell me, that has attended ACLS, what I really need to study prior to attending.
Thank you

Put a lot of study on recognizing your life threatening arrythmias and treatment during a code situation. VTach,V Fib, Asystole, Sinus brady, Pulsless VT, They should cover them during you instruction and the focus on that.

YOu need to learn the Algorithms. They are similar in many ways. For example, they all start with opening the airway. You also need to know that V-FIB needs DEFIB (Always). They will cover it all on day one. Pay attention and have fun!
