I am soooo nervous, I'm a non traditional student with 4 kids, I'm 37 years old. I have a wedding photography business (i'm no longer doing portraits because it's too much with school) and I do private duty sitting with a man 2 nights a week (but get to sleep). I took a course this summer and feel it was good to get my feet wet but now I HAVE to take a&P and chemistry in the same semester so I can apply to my schools program in January. Luckily I have no day job but I'm sooo nervous is anyone else in or has been in my boat?
I have to work to pay for daycare unfortunately I'm just worried about finding the time to study (all the kids are under 10).
I do wholeheartedly believe that I can do this if I dig my heels in. Having 4 kids to support changes the game as far as college is concerned.
Thanks for letting me VENT :)

A&P is normally a 2-semester course, and chemistry can be 1 or 2, depending on level; presumably you're only taking the equivalent of 2 courses, right?
This is doable.
Hard to comment further, not knowing how your 2 courses are structured; there are a # of variations.
Just don't get behind; keep at it, & you'll do OK, I'm thinking.
A&P is a 2 semester course and Chemistry is college entry level course, I'm also taking Math for Meds (Math 110) and a required computer course. I've just heard that a&P is hard but to me it seems black and white, you either know it or you don't...it's just getting it all memorized LOL!

Good luck! A&P I was pretty black and white...everything is named and it is what it is. It is when you get into the physiology portions that things start to look gray since there will start being the "exceptions" and sometimes it is difficult to grasp "the big picture." But, study, study, study and you should do fine!

My situation is not quite the same but I know how you feel. I am taking A&P2 and Micro this semester to finish up my prerequs before Jan. I have a 11 month old son and another on the way.... A&P1 isnt too bad, just stay organized and study whenever you can. Good luck!!!

Good luck
Most schools around here, make you take
Chemistry, before you can take
Anatomy & physiology 1
Then after A&P1
Then you can take Anatomy physiology 2
Out of the 3 I liked a&p2 the best
Study every spare minute /)
