Hello!
I am looking to start a wound care program in January. I have researched a bunch of them and narrowed it down to two online ones I think would work for me. I am looking at Winona State University wound program OR WEB WOC nursing education program. I am wondering if anyone has heard anything good/bad regarding either of these programs?
Thank you!

I've used WEB WOC. No problems with it. My friends have gone to Emory and enjoyed that one, but there is a hands-on portion. Hands-on may be beneficial.

I completed the WebWoc program several years ago. 4 of my certified wound care colleagues also completed the program and are doing well. One colleague went to Emory and got a lot out of that one. It is what you make of it. I think where you do your precepting work is every. It as important as where you go to school. If you want to discuss WebWoc, please PM me.

Hi,
just wonder if you are currently or done with any of the wound course? I am interested becoming a wound nurse. Winona University website seems like not working or TBD. Webwoc program is working but you have to find your own preceptor.
Hi DaisieRosie,
I finished the WebWoc courses in May and am currently working on my clinicals. I really liked Webwoc. I was able to find preceptors at my hospital who were CWOCNs. If you can find a hospital/clinic near you who already has a contract in place with WebWoc that allows you to be there as a student, that will save you lots of time. If you have a potential preceptor at a hospital that does not have a clinical contract in place with Webwoc, webwoc will help you through the process of developing that contract so you can do clinical hours there. However, that process can take months, so if you do go to webwoc, I recommend working on that right away!
Also, if you cannot find a preceptor, webwoc can help you by giving you a list of approved preceptors that are in your state or nearby states.
Thank you so much for your information.
