Accepted an On Call position with Kaiser SF

Hi all, I'm new here and wanted to know if anyone has ever worked at Kaiser San Francisco as an on call nurse. I'm wondering how often I'll actually get to work. Also, the NM said that she would cross train me in other units so i can get "confirmed"... what does that mean? Thank you all for any information. :nurse:

Kaiser is a great place to work.Congratulations.

This sounds like you will be the internal agency for them.

I currently hold a position like that in a large Detroit health system. I can pick and choose any day/ any shift.

I don't know the current needs at your facility, ASK! "how often do you think I will be needed"? I do know that a friend is there as a traveller, so their needs must be pretty high.

Confirmed just means they have scheduled you to work.Get to know the schedulers, call them every day if you aren't getting enough work.

Good luck.
