Accelerated program at Linfield

Hey out there!

I just found out that I have been accepted from the waitlist into the summer start program at Linfield. Since I am a little behind I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on where to get immunizations and the health check. Cheapest route possibe. Also I would love to hear from anyone else who's starting at the same time or any graduates who have advice. I'm a little nervous and very excited.

Any information would be great. Thank you!:yeah:

SD22-I was thinking that I would be early for Starbucks too! Ha! I just don't want to fall behind on anything. Seems like it will easy to do with the workload. Invitation definitly extends to all. The more allies we have in this, the better! :D If anyone wants to get together before that, I'm up for that too. Well, as soon as finals are over next week.

I'd love to meet you all that morning!!! That'll definitely make us feel better....we can also do lunch the second day as it says lunch is on our own :D

If anyone wants to get together that week before we start I'd be happy to as well. I live in Eugene but am more than happy to come up to Portland for the day!

jess76 - when I got the large amount of paperwork there was a form to submit to get a mentor. Mine actually lives here in Eugene and is commuting like I am (come up on Monday and go home on Friday) so I was able to meet her in person and she helped a lot!

Can't wait to meet you all!

Terri

I'll be moving in from out-of-state in a couple weeks. Haven't pinned down the date yet but if I'm in town I'd be up for meeting before orientation day as well. Luckily I've finished my pre-reqs a couple weeks ago.... but Jessica good luck with your finals. FYI Tasha started a facebook group for our cohort.

Thanks, Terri... Somehow I totally missed the form on the backside of that paper. I think I was just totally engrossed in going through all of the other material and that looked like a student group or an ad that I set aside to look at later and forgot about. :-P

SD22 - Where are moving to? I currently live in Eugene with my husband but during the week I'll be living in the Nob Hill Apartments about 3 blocks from campus.

Awww... that's rough! You're just heading home for the weekends the entire time you're in school?

San Diego to John's Landing. I'm going to miss sunny SoCal but looking forward to Oregon again.

taz5869 - Yes I'll drive up early Monday morning. For the first term since we'll only have class M/W/F I'll probably drive home Wednesday night and just haul up and back on Friday. It'll be rough but don't really have a choice ya know!? Luckily I really like the apartment I got, it's just a small studio but it's really cute and in a great area. Plus I'll bring my cat(s) up with me for some comfort. I figure I can do anything for 18months! My mentor actually is doing the same thing so it helped to talk to her.

SD22 - I've heard St John's is a great area!!! Will you be living with anyone or know anyone in the area?

I wish we had a schedule for summer and had some idea how long each course lasts. Does anyone know when summer term ends? I haven't found an academic calendar that includes summer dates. Just FYI, I do know that our fourth of July holiday falls on Monday, July 5, not Friday, July 2.

Okay, just to clarify, here is the actual Summer schedule:

Nurs 103 will be from 9:00-4:00 MWF with an hour break for lunch from 12:00-1:00 through July 9. Then we'll start Nurs 106 with lectures on Mondays from 8am-12pm and either TTH or WF clinicals from 8:00-3:00 like our letters stated. Nurs 106 will go from Monday 7/12- Friday 8/27 and then Fall Semester starts the following Tuesday.

Taz,

Where did you see this schedule for Resource Analysis Assignment? Have you already registered? I was under the impression that we would register on orientation day....

am I already FALLING BEHIND?!

:crying2:

Hey Guys,

Looking forward to meeting you all. Is anyone else scheduled for the Resource Analysis Assignment Lab on Friday, June 25 from 4-6pm? (Jessi76 - I believe you are, since I only see one Jessica on the student list.... my name is Tasha :-) )

No, you're not. No worries. You are correct, we are registering on orientation day. The schedule for the Resources Analysis Assignment was in the envelope they just mailed us with the orientation information. It is on a yellow sheet of paper and has the cohort split into groups of 10 and scheduled for different days/times during the first week of school.

As far as the rest of the schedule, I found the schedule at:

and the calendar at:
