  1. San Diego to John's Landing. I'm going to miss sunny SoCal but looking forward to Oregon again.
  2. I'll be moving in from out-of-state in a couple weeks. Haven't pinned down the date yet but if I'm in town I'd be up for meeting before orientation day as well. Luckily I've finished my pre-reqs a couple weeks ago.... but Jessica good luck with your finals. FYI Tasha started a facebook group for our cohort.
  3. I'm up for a pre-orientation meet up. Maybe it'll ease some of my nursing school jitters. The papers on our orientation schedule really do make it all real. Jessi76 I also have that semi-irrational fear of being late... I'll probably even be early to the pre-meeting at starbucks... I know I need help. :)
  4. Its definitely a mix of apprehension, excitement, and stress for me! But really looking forward to starting..... my tune will probably change once we get everything thrown at us next month.
  5. Barleynhops- Do you know if we will be needing the Taber's thumb index or non-indexed version. I am not sure what the difference between the two is.
  6. Jessica- I am from San Diego!!, and not as some people have guessed South Dakota. Thanks for the offer on tips, I am a little familiar with Portland but I do appreciate it. I no doubt will have tons of questions once I make it up there. I went to undergrad up in Oregon so it should be interesting making that transition again from sunny SD to Portland. A real big thank you to barleynhops for providing the book list. I am also going to start shopping, I just wonder if it is taught by a different professor whether the text list may change at all. But since they all are relatively recent editions and standard nursing texts, I guess we can assume that we are ok buying them now. Caitlin- I eventually plan on biking as well, but I just had to retire my old bike. When I get another one I hope to bike some days. I'll be living in the John's Landing area, not sure if that is considered SE or not? I'm slowly catching on to the Portland geography. But I want to take advantage of the bus system if I can as well. I have my physiology final tomorrow then I'll be done with my pre-reqs. Good luck with yours.
  7. I'm also in the summer start cohort. I absolutely relate to the combo of excitement and nervousness. I am moving to Portland from out of state and figuring out the logistics of that is no fun. Congrats on getting off that wait list! I look forward to meeting everyone next month. Just curious...Do current Linfield students know what textbooks we will be using for the summer courses?
  8. I'm sending in my acceptance to the 2010 Linfield cohort next week. Can't wait to meet everyone and get started with classes. I'm going to be moving in from out of state... any suggestions as to where I should start looking for an apartment?
  9. I just got accepted into the Accelerated program at Linfield as well. I have some other options in California but I am pretty sure I am going to be sending in my acceptance to start at Linfield this summer. From all that I have heard from Linfield graduates I think it will be a great school to be a part of. Maybe I'll be seeing you this summer.
  10. I just received my acceptance letter to the Summer 2010 cohort at Linfield... so excited. Anyone else out there? Good luck to everyone else waiting on their schools.
  11. I just got my acceptance to the Summer 2010 start at Linfield..... pretty sure I am going to accept.
