Hello Everyone. I am trying to compile a list a accelerated BSN programs in the country that allow you to apply with a 3.0 or better in the last 60 hours or an accelerated BSN program that only looks at the gpa for prereqs. So far I have come up with Drexel University, and Barry University. I am not sure about the University of Alabama-Birmingham. If anyone could share their experiences, that would be wonderful! Thanks so much! :wink2:

I don't know about other programs. I applied to, and was accepted, to Drexel starting in the Spring 09. It's the only school I applied to. I don't know what my last 60 hours GPA was, but my absolute overall between my AAS and BA was about 3.01 (2.67 in BA, but 3.34 or something in AAS, including 6 prereq's -5a1b- I took before applying). I threw in some other stuff, like took the GRE (and did okay), and did some volunteer work. I also sent a personal statement. It's a bit expensive, $33,000 for 1 year, plus expenses (books, uniforms, food), but I didn't think I'd get a better chance anywhere else.
There is a 1 and 1.5 year ADN program offered at Harcum College (5 miles west of Philadelphia). Their NCLEX pass rate isn't so great, but if you think you have it in yourself to get through, I think they had a min req of 2.5 (for 18 month evening) or 3.0 (for 1 year program). Both of their accelerated programs are in the evening. They are a junior college, so don't offer a bachelors. But, you can take 'bridge' classes later. The tuition is 30k including books and uniforms.
Hope I didn't completely waste this post, and good luck!

I applied to drexel for fall 09' and am still waiting to hear back. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a reply from them? I applied in Oct 08'...
You may want to check and make sure they have all of your information. Calling or emailing the assistant director of application management (F.E.) should give you insight to what is going on with your application. She is very helpful.
