Sep 10, 201510 yr Admin Most nursing schools, with the exception of the few remaining diploma schools, aren't really associated with a hospital. However, you can research where clinicals take place in order to see what nursing schools have agreements with what facilities. Some schools will also utilize many clinical sites- for my psych/mental health rotation, we were spread out over 2 counties and 6 facilities. For community health, we were all over the place between school districts and health clinics. The vast majority of acute care clinicals took place at the hospital 5 minutes from the college, but clinical groups also were sent to the other local hospital and the nearest level 1 trauma center.
