Hey! I'm currently in the process for applying for the 2022 start date at ASU. I ended up taking HCR 240 through Rio Salado back in January, super interesting course but a lot of work. I think you're going to do great on the TEAS test. I actually just took the TEA's test through ASU yesterday. It wasn't too bad at all. Please let me know if you have any questions in regards to the TEAS and I'd be happy to help!
My background is very similar to yours. I got a degree in Economics and started working for a Tech firm based out of San Francisco. The pay is good but the job itself isn't satisfying. I've always had a passion to help people and was always interested in science so I thought nursing would be a perfect career choice.
One tip I could mentioned for the TEAS whens studying is this guys Youtube channel.
Dr Matt & Dr Mike
They explain A&P perfectly!
Cheers,
Eric
Oh great I'll check out their page..... I am looking forward to taking it and having a few months off of no school and studying before it gets crazy. How is your cumulative score looking? I'm shooting for a 1.8 eeeekkkk. Fingers crossed, it'll all come down to the TEAS as I'm going in with a 3.9 GPA, but gosh I hate tests ha.
Hey, I haven’t officially submitted my application yet I am waiting to talk to the advisor on Tuesday and have her look over my form just to make sure all is good. I went in with a 1.0 for my GPA but I bombed my TEAS. I hate tests like that Ha. I ended up with a 1.70 cumulative score due to that ?. So I guess we will see what happens, I saw a 1.5 got in last year but the year before it was 1.7 and above. I figured if it’s meant to work out it will.
Hi all! my name is Sam and I am from the 2021 cohort. I wanted to reach out to next year's group to see if I could be of any help in answering questions. I know members of the 2020 cohort were SO helpful to us last year, and want to make sure 2021 pays it forward to you all! Let me know if you have any questions for me. Good luck to you in your applications!!
Hello all!
I'm wondering if anybody has already done or is in the process of getting their fingerprint card.
Long story short I haven't been able to get mine done yet and now I'm really concerned I won't make it in time for the Oct 30th deadline. Has anybody already completed it and how long did it take you? Anybody know of any way to speed the process? On their website some places it says 4-6 weeks and other places it says 2-10 days so trying to figure out if I'm going to make it in time.
Thank you Sam I really appreciate it. I hope you guys are surviving your last couple of months.
Mary…..as far as the fingerprint card goes I did mine about a month ago and it actually came much faster than the website said. It was super easy super quick. So I’m sure you’ll be OK if you get it done ASAP.

Hey guys, just starting the thread for all those applying to Arizona State University ABSN program to being in January. I followed along with the 2021 cohort just in case I was ready to apply for that one but decided to wait and shoot for 2022 so here I am.... months away from the application deadline. I just am finishing my last pre req HCR 240 thru Rio Salado eeeeew. Super anxious about taking the TEAS but planning to do so next month.
Whats everyones background? I'm totally switching gears and have a bachelors degree in Business. Anyways, to all the previous cohorts, please feel free to give tips, suggestions, anything you think we should know ahead of time.
Oh and I saw they added the Havasu program too, I live in Phoenix so I won't apply for that one but I'm anxious to hear what others think of the addition.
