AARN benefits

Published

I received an email from the "american association of registered nurses" regarding some benefits that are of interest to me. I assumed I received this email because I receive RN info from my state board of nursing from time to time via email and snailmail. I tried looking up if anyone uses their benefits, but i can't find any information on this organization on the internet. It's almost like they don't exist. Has anyone used any benefits from this site? thanks.

You're most likely on a mailing list and mailing lists get sold, and sold, and sold, ad infinitum.

You're prob on your school's list of grads and you do know that states have public listings of all licensed professionals, ie physicians, dentists, nurses, LNHAs, LSWs, PT/OT/ST, RTs, RDs, pharmacists, opticals, audiologists, (tatooists prob) etc. If there's an issued license somewhere, you can bet there's a list of all the licensees.

Proceed very cautiously. I usually throw advertisements out - if I didn't try contacting them first, then I'm not interested.

Remember the old adage - if it sounds too good to be true, ...

Never heard of them. Be careful.

I just looked at their website. They are not a nursing association in the conventional sense. Nor are they nurses. They seem to be a financial services company that sells insurance and other financial products to nurses.

They may be legit. I don't know. But I don't like the fact that their name suggests they are a group of nurses. That seems deceptive to me.
