A&P in 6 weeks

Tomorrow will be my last day of the summer semester completing A&P. Sad to say that I didnt do well:crying2: My final Lab and Lecture exams are tomorrow and I believe that I will be completing this class with a C+! I am taking 2 other classes in the fall, Intro to nursing and another biology(general or pathogenic) so I dont think it would be wise to try and squeeze A&P in the fall semester. I was aiming to apply to the nursing program in feb.2014 but it looks as if I will have to wait until 2015. Any reccomendations or words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Feeling pretty down

Why can;t you get in with a C? Especially if your GPA is good.

I figured it would be better to try with a better grade being that it is so competitve. Plus I really want to make sure that I understand A&P. I only want to have to apply once and be confident in what I know.

I retook this class the following summer in 6 weeks and got an A-. I also was accepted into the nursing program at my school this year, yay!

I was taking into to physiology in the summer and in 6 weeks it was very condensed, still got an A but the professor was great and gave a bunch of extra credit. Without the EC, I would have been in the mid 80's. I recall sitting in the biology lounge and a few A&P 2 students were talking and not one person had above an 81 in the summer class. They advise you not to take A&P 1 or 2 during the summer or 2 bios at the same time.

Congrats on your retry, tough course

Thanks!

Congratulations!! I am so happy for you. I hope that I pass my anatomy and physiology at least with a B. It is good to hear someone else's success.

Would you recommend taking a&p over the summer by itself? Im just retaking my biology class for the 3rd time ( praying that I pass) and want to get my other sciences class out the way. I'm still very far from applying to the nursing program. But of a&p is only 6 weeks, could I take another class? Im not sure how hard it is

If you take it in 6 weeks do not rake another class with it. You will need all of the extra time to study. Lots of work! Giid luck!

I would echo OP and say that A&P alone in a summer quarter is a task in itself but is very doable (I took that class alongside lifespan and my cna very taxing but I reap the rewards). If you can pair it with a non science course that would be your best bet. Try an English, psych, maybe math even if you're good at that
