5 year requirement as an RN? Well, I would laugh in their faces. That's a bunch of hogwash if you ask me. Hell, it took me 6 months time to become a CVSU nurse after graduation. It could take less time to get into CRNA school. Just thought that was kind of funny really.

I would highly recommend you going back to school if you can at all afford it. It sounds like you have the experience, the credentials, and know how to get through it without many problems. I couldn't see you having any trouble getting into school right now. Do you have kids? Cuz that could be a deterrant for you not doing it. I feel that your only disadvantage is that CRNA school will only get more competitive and probably more expensive as time goes on, though now you can practically get a scholarship at your local 5 and dime store. There is such a shortage of CRNA's now that hospitals are willing to pay for it because they don't want to pay the agencies mucho denero. Can you go part time CRNA? There are such programs, but they are few and far between, so I wouldn't be surprised if you are not around one of those programs. Just something to think about. You sound like you have good credentials and common sense, and any program would love to have you.

I would definetly go for finnishing school for yourself first. A MBA isnit going to do much if his job currently doesnt call for it. Do yourself some good, finish your schooling and better yourself. This is coming from a single parent dad by the way. Like I said. Finish schoool for yourself. You'll be glad you did. You will reap the rewards now and not be dissappointed later. :
