okay so i have decided to join an LVN program which will last 14 months. it starts in november. but i still want to apply to BSN programs and see if i may get accepted for next fall...is that a bad idea??? i dont care too much about wasting money, but i also dont want to sit around and waste time (what if i dont get accepted) when i could be a few steps closer to becoming an RN.
also, does anyone know of any good LVN-BSN programs? prefferably in NYC or Miami Florida, or California?? thanks!

I personally don't think it is a bad idea to do that, it gets you ahead of the game to some extent. Better than waiting in limbo to start working towards your goal. I have heard of a LPN-BSN program @ Indiana State that is online with local clinicals, might be worth checking into?
