I graduated nursing school this past May 2014. I took the NCLEX on Sept 5th 2014 at 11am. As soon as I got home I did what anyone else would do and I logged straight onto the Pearson Vue website to try the "pearson vue trick". If you're reading this you probably know that the original trick was that you attempt to re-register, if you get a pop up you passed and if you are brought to the CC page you failed. I was 99% positive I passed when all of a sudden I was brought to the CC page. Pretty sure I had a panic attack, was devastated and couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was so convinced that there had to be some mistake that I turned to google to do some research. Turns out, Pearson Vue has recently updated their website (around August 24, 2014). With that update they also have changed the "Pearson Vue trick". Now, EVERYONE gets brought to the CC page regardless of whether or not your passed. You now must take it a step further and enter your credit card information. At this point you will either 1) get a pop up that says you cannot register at this time or 2) you will be brought to STEP 3 which is them accepting your payment of $200 (this unfortunately means you failed). It has only been a few weeks but so far it seems very accurate. I did the trick and received the "good pop up" and then 48hrs later got a "PASS" through quick results. I hope that this saves other people in my situation.
**IF YOUR CREDIT CARD HAS INSUFFICIENT FUNDS YOU CAN STILL DO THE TRICK, HOWEVER, IF YOU GET A POPUP THAT SAYS "INSUFFICIENT FUNDS" - IT IS LIKELY THAT YOU FAILED BECAUSE THAT MEANS THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD**
