Jan 28, 201412 yr Is it okay to to give a MMR subQ injection mixed with normal saline. What does it say on the vaccine insert (on the vial, syringe, etc.)?
Jan 28, 201412 yr um, I don't think so. MMR is a deep IM injection. Agree with psu, the insert will tell you how to administer.
Jan 28, 201412 yr Author The MMR powder form has to be reconstituted with either saline or sterile water. The MMR injection is SubQ, even on the EMAR instructions say SubQ route. I know the Tdap is a intramuscular injection but it requires no mixing at my facility. Thanks.
