Mesa Community College ADN

So I was wondering if anyone on here has completed the ADN program at MCC?

I am on my way to submitting my application by the end of fall semester in December. I just want to know generally what the waiting process was like. Is it really a lottery or are there things you can do to improve your chances of getting in faster? I would really appreciate any feedback and or advice.

There is no lottery for any of the Maricopa county colleges. There is a wait list for the ADN program although I'm not sure the exact wait time. Some say 2 years while the website says 7 to 8 semesters. The Maricopa county community colleges have a concurrent program option with NAU, ASU, and U of Phoenix that bypasses the wait time and you graduate with a BSN, but you must have all prereqs and coreqs completed before you can apply. It is also competitive based on your GPA and Hesi score.

Hope this helps a little.

Hi, I have been on the waiting list since Nov. 2011. They still cannot tell me when I will have a seat. I was told the last group to be placed waited approximately 2yr.and 4 mo. It is frustrating to wait so long.

That is so long. So r u doing a concurrent program or anything?

I finished one of my last 2 co reqs. I received an email they are going to place people again about the 25 of this month (March). But then when I went to re affirm my interest and update my info it says there are only 9 seats at MCC. If I am not placed this time My wait will have been over 3 years. They told me 2.I don't see how they can do this to people. It seems like they offered a program and people did what they were required to do and now they are not able to provide the service they promised. If I do not get a seat I will probably not get in at all because I will sending my complaint fwd and notifying the media etc. They are putting people that are getting their Bach. Deg. ahead of everyone else. They didn't say they would do this when I applied for the program etc.
