When I practice on Q and A, Saunders and Kaplan my average score is 60%.

I wonder if any of you passed the nclex with just an average of 60% per practice exam?

Do you think I can make it knowing that I can only answer 6 out 10 questions? Or do I

need more time to study. I've been studying for a month now and I'm thinking of taking the

exams in two weeks. Any advice would help. Thanks and God Bless!

That is impossible to answer. The NCLEX gives weight to certain questions and less weight to easy questions. The passing standard is not something the NCLEX people talk about. My best advice to you is to practice practice practice. I think your current level may not be good enough. The problem with the NCLEX is that it doesn't test your abilities as a nurse, it tests your abilities to answer difficult test questions.

Try a new source for a change of pace. Mobile apps are a great way to study with cool modern technology. My favorites are NCLEX mastery, NCSBN, and Davis

Danielle made some good points. Kaplan, Saunders, etc don't have the same criteria for passing, they do just a straight forward %.

I wouldn't sit the test until you can get at least an 80%. NCLEX is not a content test, it's critical thinking. But if you don't have a good grasp of the content then passing is going to be tough. It's an expensive test to take. Make sure you KNOW the content.

http://Www.learningext.com- this is the review course for theNCSB, the peeps who write the test. It's had content review, pre/post tests and a critical thinking Q bank. These are the types of questions you will likely see on the test

I tried the learningtext.com review by the NCSBN and I was disappointed. I did the 1 month package (back in november) and it wasn't very good. the questions were ok, but no better than anywhere else. If Im paying $50 for a set amount of questions for 30 days, I want some damn good questions.

I agree with the first response about apps. They tend to be cheaper because they are apps, but some have great content and more functionality than any online or book review. Be careful though, many of the apps are terrible

That's great! I was wondering about that. I was first scoring 56%-58% and my last scores have been 62%, 72%, and 64%. I'm scheduled to take my exam this Friday and feeling pretty nervous and unprepared on meds. How did you prepare for meds? It happens to be my weakest.
