For anyone freaking out because of all the people tha are coming here saying they failed, here's one that passed on their first try :) I will be honest, I did not study very much. I did the Hurst live review, watched their videos online, and did two practice tests with 125 questions each, and that's about it. I did a 3 hour study session with a friend two days before I took my exam and the night before I looked over my normal lab values to make sure I knew them (I would really recommend this, it was helpful to know for the exam). I didn't spend weeks studying, I didn't do thousands of questions, and I passed in 40 minutes with 75 questions.

My biggest advice is test as soon as you can after graduating, I waited less than a month but in all honesty, I would have been ready just two weeks after graduation. The test itself I thought was a bit difficult (a lot of SATAs), and I wasn't sure I had passed as I felt like I was making a lot of educated guesses. But I got my RN license today, so even if you feel like you failed when you walk out, that doesn't mean anything! Good luck!

That's AWESOME CONGRATS!!!!..... I hope I will be a success story in a few days!!.... Im still going crazy over here....I have looked at HURST review and also am doing Kaplan Review.... I graduated Dec. 10th and scheduled my exam for Jan. 15th... I feel a little weak in content but have been doing my best on practice exams.....ahhh!!! lol

You guys are so lucky to be able to schedule your tests so soon. I graduated December 14th and I haven't got my ATT yet. I guess our school will not have our degrees listed on our transcripts until January 7th, which is Monday.

I graduated on December 14th, got my ATT December 19th, took NCLEX January the 4th.

As soon as they email you the ATT you can set a date. I bet you could get in next week:up:

I graduated on the 7th and got my ATT on the 18th, that's crazy that you haven't gotten yours yet! My school is pretty on the ball about submitting things ASAP.

Congratulations Racer15!!! I have a question did you use any of your old textbooks for reference I am starting my first semester and I am wondering if I should rent or buy my textbooks.

I bought my textbooks because we used all of them throughout nursing school.

Our final was December 4th, completion/pinning ceremony December 12th....no ATT yet. School submitted everything right after, everything is complete according to the board website, but still waiting for ATT, nobody from our school has gotten theirs yet. So frustrating!

It is very frustrating. I am worried that I will not be able to schedule until March if they don't hurry up. We have 12 nursing schools in this area so the testing places might fill up fast. I just want to get this NCLEX over with so I can look for a job. Some people from my school have been applying but why would they hire you without a license when there are plenty of applicants that already have their license?

The only book I looked at was my HESI review book. I did not look at any of my text books. BUT, I bought all of mine and didn't sell any back. I will be working in the ER, so I figure they will be good for reference.

Congrats! That's amazing you were able to get done so quick! I take mine on the 17th and I've been trying to review a little in the Hurst book and answer some questions every day. I'm glad to hear that worked for you! I was worrying I wasn't studying from enough resources but I end up on information overload. Yay for you RN!!
