Hey guys I need advice from some experts. I am currently a student at UCLA. I didnt decide to do nursing until my last quarter which I am finishing in 3 weeks. I am currently taking Microbiology 6 which is probably the only science pre req I have under my belt. I have most of the humanities pre reqs done though (Sociology, Public Speaking, English 1 & 2, Psychology, Statistics etc)

I was wondering if there are schools in California (specifically Los Angeles) that are not too strict when applying. I would love to be able to apply now. I know schools like West Coast University allow no pre reqs done before entry (for a steep price) but I was wondering if there were programs that fit my situation. I am a History major at UCLA (3.86 GPA and transferred from Santa Monica College so I have IGETC done. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Community colleges have the least requirements, but they still require the 3 pre-reqs

From what I've seen in the LA area, all community colleges require you have all pre-reqs done before applying. Won't look at your application otherwise. (Micro, anatomy, physiology, chem for some schools, plus humanities).

Cal States seem to allow one course in progress, though which course depends on the school. You'll have to do some research and attend info sessions to find out the ins and outs.

If you're looking into an entry level master's or an ABSN, then I think (and don't quote me), they will also let you have 1 pending course when you apply. You'll have to check school by school to verify which schools allow that. I know for sure a girl in my micro class got accepted to UCLA's EL-MSN with micro pending.

So at the end of the day, you still need to take more courses before you can apply. I would also suggest you figure out which schools you want to apply to so you can go through their pre-reqs. Different schools have different pre-reqs so you just want to make sure that you're taking what you need for all the schools you're interested in.
