It will tell you an aprox amt that CNA's make. I personally haven't seen a big demand for CNA's but that is just looking at the classified ads in the Denver post. Good Luck!

I don't trust salary.com. What it lists for a BSN newly passed boards and in first year of pracitice is so far above what I make. Not sure, but last I heard it can be between 12 and 17 dollars an hour.

In the GJ and Delta area it is more like $ 8-9 hourly. Try calling some of the hospitals or the type of facility you want to work at for some idea on their rate of pay. I hope that helps.

night ;)

in Colorado Springs, it is between $10 to $12 an hour. In Canon City, between $7 to $9.

hi mary...

you could try agency work too for a while in your new town, that would let you get an idea of which places to look into after your decide to leave the agency.

also delta hospital has recently moved and enlarged, so they might actually need cnas. cnas are in huge demand, but you work very hard for your $$$.

front range will probably give you a bit more money that grand junction, canon city and places like that. if you prefere a smaller community then take a look at the western slope.

I am moving from Chicago to Colorado Springs. I can't seem to find a job as a CNA though. I have med/surg experience as well as er. I don't mean to be picky, but I would much rather work in an er because I find that I do get a little bored with the whole med/surg thing. I will also be finishing nursing school once I get settled but that's really not the issue here. All I can seem to find is nursing home jobs and that just isn't for me. Any advice? You can respond to [email protected]. Thanks.
