Passed Nclex Pn on 1st attempt

I've been hearing about the "new" changes to the Nclex-Pn in April 2011, so I was anxious to get a test date on or before March 31...make a long story short, I took my exam on 4/12/2011...and let me tell you I was so nervous...I just knew in my head that I failed because I was bored, irritated, not focused, sleepy , AND hungry while I was taking the exam, so I was kinda rushing through the questions...AND ON TOP OF THAT...the computer made me take ALL 205 questions...lol.

After the exam I was sort of discouraged, and one of my classmates told me to do the Pearson Trick to find out about my score...So the next day, 4/13/2011, I went to my state board of nursing website and looked up my name, and to my surprise, my license was ACTIVE...YAY :yeah:...and today, I received my license in the mail. (fists pumps)...lol

From what I can remember, the majority of my questions were about:

Prioritizing

Very few calculations

Delagating

Safety

Patient Teaching

****Oh Yeah...I didn't study until the day before the exam****

Next stop...RN School :nurse:

Wow! Congrats! My stomach gets knots when I think of taking the exam!

Congrats!! took mine today and ended with 85 questions, which by the way made me nervous because it was mostly SATAs in there. hopefully, the PVT really works cause i got the good pop-up. :)

I felt the same way...I would be on the brink of an anxiety attack just from talking about it...Thanks to my last minute studying and a 2 minute prayer just before I clicked the start button on my test, I was cool as a cucumber...but if you just try to relax yourself and DON'T OVERTHINK the questions, then you'll be just fine.

All of my classmates have taken the "new" test and have passed. Everyone's test cut off at 85. I take the test this Friday, hopefully I pass!

CONGRATS!!!! what state are u in...i took mines on june 2nd and no results yet...but did the PVT and got the good pop up cause i finished at 85 questions so i was sort of nervous...still waiting for the officials before i celebrate...lol

that is everything that I read/was told to NOT BE when taking NCLEX.

I made sure I got a good nite's sleep the nite before, ate a good b'fast, had all my gear ready to go by the door so I wouldn't forget anything, my hair looked good, my clothes were ironed, I left a couple of hrs early so I'd have time in case there was traffic or got a flat tire, etc...

after wks of preparing, I wasn't about to walk into the test feeling anything less than a winner - even though I was nervous as could be!
