I got an interveiw!!!!! {question inside}

Hello all, finally got an job interview at Tendercare, the employer (during the phone call to schedule the interview ) he asked me to think about 3 things I would want from an employer.

Can you please give me a little insight the 3 things I am considering.PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!

1. Communication

2. Knowledge/Education

3. Advancement

Communication - Providing you with a trainer that is efficient, reliable, and patient.

Open door policy - Employees can go to management at any time without jumping through mountains.

Knowledge/Education - Providing employees on on the job training and workshops relevant to the job. Cross training in other departments so employees can get a feel for the way the company is run.

Advancement - Allowing employees to grow with the company rather than remain stagnant.

I hope this is what you are looking for. It is 5am here and my brain has not had its coffee yet. :p

The interview went well, he was trying to get me to speak with the DON but she was busy. He said he would give a call later this evening if not tomorrow

They called me back this afternoon :lol2: and I got another interview tomorrow afternoon with the DON:yeah:. I'm very excited but kinda up set. So many are trying to discourage me from the position because they feel like its not enough money. :uhoh3:

Honestly I'm not doing it for the money (CNA), I'm doing it for the education and training :redbeathe. MY GOAL IS TO BECOME A NURSE :nurse:. If I have to start from the bottom up to get there I'm ok with that that in return will make me a wonderful nurse. Sorry if this positve turned into a negative and a rant but just need to express myself to someone who may understand.

Excellent! Congrats on starting your journey! :D

Trust me, every CNA can tell whether or not an RN was once a CNA. You will definitely be more efficient and realistic if you work first as a CNA. And there are so many RN's out there who just have no idea how to do basic patient care-- some of them can't even make a bed! You made the right choice.
