My NCLEX Result is delayed. Does that mean I failed?

Hi everyone, I took my NCLEX (State of Vermont) last Feb 26 here in Makati City, Philippines. We were told by our agency that the results will be given in 3 days. My third day was yesterday and up to now, there still is no news whether I passed or failed.

I was really crying yesterday because according to my agency, scenarios like these usually end up with negative results. For someone who is self-sustaining, I don't think I could afford another retake. My agency said I needed to wait for another agonizing week to finally get my result.

Is there really a great possibility that I failed? Passing the nclex means a lot to me as does everyone but I swear it means a lot to me...for so many reasons I didn't have to mention now.

I would appreciate your advice.

There are many administrative reasons to hold up results. Do not assume the worst. Relax and look for the best.

I have heard stories from many friends about their results being delayed a little and they all had positive outcomes in the end. Good luck, hope you hear something very soon!

i really wanted to relax, but being a constantly anxious person, I couldn't seem to tone my nerves down.

Which state did you apply registration to? Getting results in 3 days doesn't always happen and it doesn't mean you have failed and the agency is wrong in implying this to you

Suggest you also have a read in the NCLEX forum and try the pearsonvue trick, although not an official result because that has to come from the BON it may give you a peace of mind either way

Also to add if you have failed (I am not saying you have) it isn't the end of the world and for International nurses the failure rate is higher.
