What the heck.....My name is Christie. Been a nurse for 12 yrs. in Telemetry and ICU/CCU. I currently work for the Dept of Defense in an Army hospital as a civilian nurse in their ICU (special care unit as they call it)/PACU/SDS with frequent floats into the ER. I have a severe aversion to Peds nursing but can do it if necessary. I am married for almost 19 yrs with 2 teenagers.

my name is Barbara... I've been a nurse since 1999, where I graduated school at Curtis High School, School of Practical Nursing... :)

I've worked primarily in Inpatient Rehab (3 years) and, Long term care(my true love in nursing) (6mos then a break, now, 9 mos in a new facility)

I am a Moderator Of the LPN Corner, and Rehabilitation Nursing sections of the boards... I've been a mod here since '01, if I'm not mistaken

I also have a great love of the simpsons, laugh in, and MASH... oh...... and, STAR TREK..... (I admit it... I"m a geek), oh, and renaissance faires....and.... (geeks around) LARPS... I'm single, no kids, and dating a comedian w/ a day job. (hehe)

I'm also a culinary arts and restaurant management student at the Art institute of NYC (the old New York Restaurant School)

I am an ordained Minister w/ the ULC, and teach some Wicca 101, and other religion classes occasionally...

Larps... Live Action Role Play.... its an extremely Geekish form Of dungeons and dragons, where we actually dress up and play for a weekend or so...

ULC.... Universal Light Church... its a non-denominational ministry organization.. its the source of my ordination... basically, I can legally perform last rights, marriges, et al... I act as clergy PRN...

have been nursing since 1965-- all at the bedside--don't think i could ever carry that "clipboard" around--still get great satisfaction with daily pt contact
