I'll start-

Hi all! I have applied to Kingwood and my points are 11.744.

Good luck, TexasTee!

Yes, good luck to you! I think you will get in with those points. I am getting ready to graduate in December from Cy-Fair and I think my points were an 11.447 or something like that!

Thanks both of you guys! I am crossing my fingers, this has been a long time coming!

Congrats Stacy for almost finishing! Woohoo and congrats to you:nurse:

I am currently at kingwood and I am really happy with the program. I heard all these horror stories about nursing instructors, but so far I like everyone, and I can be overly critical sometimes. Good luck to everyone, and if you have a choice Kingwood is great.

I'm so happy I found this thread! I applied too and I want to know now lol! My score was an 11.34 soemthing...which is good, but I don't feel confident enough with that score. Especially with Cy-Fair and Kingwood being the only schools to chose from. I hope it's high enough, but we will see!

I think you have a great shot! The director said that last year the cut off was 11.2! Think positive, I want to know now too. LOL

I applied for the Spring (evening) class at Kingwood. My points are 11.53

Since they extended the application period, I hope they don't extend the waiting time also. Right now I'm in Pharm at Kingwood. I don't think you'll have a problem gettting in Texas Tee. Good luck to all.:nurse:

Me too, I hope not I'm going to call today and ask if it will be the same 6-8 weeks post deadline to find out the decision. I don't think you will have a problem either with your points, let's think positive! How is Pharm because I haven't taken it? I was trying to sign up for a class on the internet but I feel it's probably one of those classes that I need face to face contact... for anyone that has already taken Pharm did you find it to be hard? Who did you take if you took it through North Harris/Lone Star College?

TIA!

do I need to have already taken Pharm before starting the nursing program? Cy-Fair is the only college I have attended, and they were my first choice in applying, then Kingwood..does it vary by the school? I always thought that it was a nursing program course...

If you are wanting to get into Cy Fair and you take Pharm at any other college, they will require you take the Pharm HESI and get an 850 on it in order for them to accept the credit. Your best bet is to just take it once you get in.
